Winter 1997

The project called Ambidextrous was initiated.

Autumn 1997

Several tracks were completed.
One of the tracks is co-written by Omega, who later
founded Grief Recordings label and his own noise band
called "Zaroslivereska". That track may be released
some time in the future.

Early 1998

The debut album is scheduled to summer on Grief Recordings.

April 4th, 1998

The first live act at "Cruiser" club in Moscow.

June 1998

"Inflame" compilation with 2 tracks by Ambidextrous came out.
This compilation also includes tracks by Novel 23, Omega,
Axel Vinkle, [Liq] and Uzhas.

June 19th, 1998

Live act at the "Virus 2 electronic music festival",
a huge gig on an island on Moscow river: 23 live acts
including Expedition Zero, SCSI-9, The Conservators,
Moon Cat etc. It was the night right before the
famous Moscow tornado, fortunately that gig wasn't on the 20th :)

July 22th, 1998

Nine tracks for the fortcoming album were mastered.
Engineering assistance was done by Alexander A. Golev
("Virtual Mode"). The album release is delayed.

July 1998

The first airplay: "MFJ" (the track from "Inflame")
was played on a radio station in Kiev in DJ Rybik's weekly
program.

August 8th, 1998

The first remix is done. It's a dark IDM interpretation
of DMT's "Eternal War". The remix actually hasn't much to do
with the original noisy version except the vocals and some drum sounds :)

September 16th, 1998

An interview for the "Russian Electronic Music Encyclopedia"
(see interview text in Russian)

September 21th, 1998

The final mastering of the album is completed. Artwork for the album cover
is done by Vladimir Ladinsky aka Gin (see Gin galery @ mu).

October 1th, 1998

Information about the project and Ambidextrous's Chart are added to
RaveNet site.

November 13th, 1998

The debut album called "SOUNDESCAPE" is finally released.
It is a 56 minutes long CDR released by Outersonic, an ambient/idm
sublabel of Grief Recordings.

November 28th, 1998

Live act at Grief Recordings party ("Kraj" club, Moscow).
There were also live acts by Zaroslivereska, Axel Vinkle and T/A/N/D/E/M.

December 2th, 1998

Live act at "3rd anniversary of Ravenet" in the famous "Luch" (former
"Ptuch" club). It was a really nice party

March 1998

Several Soundescape tracks were played by dj Kubikov in "Russian Hour"
on his Thursday night set on radio station 106.8 FM.

January 4th, 1998

"Outside" was played on radio station 106.8 FM in a special "Impulses" program about the best russian electronic tracks of 1998.
